Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and any work you ask A&M Redding Insulation Services to do at your home or building. By using the site, asking for an estimate or booking a job, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us.
When we sign a written contract for your job, that contract controls wherever it differs from these terms. Anything these terms don't cover stays covered by them.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor in Redding, CA, and we work in Redding and the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall, crawl space and basement insulation, blown-in and spray foam, air sealing, vapor barriers and removal of old insulation. The home page lists every service, and our about page tells you more about us.
What's on this website is general information to help you understand the work. It isn't a promise about your house, because what your job needs depends on what we find when we look at your attic, walls or crawl space.
Estimates and pricing
We give estimates at your property, free and with no obligation, so we can see the space before we price it. An estimate is based on what we can see and reach that day, and it's good for the period written on it.
Some conditions only show up once the job is open, such as old insulation that's wet or full of droppings, hidden gaps or damaged framing. If we find something that changes the scope or the price, we'll stop, show you and explain it, and we won't do the extra work until you approve it.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We'll set a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Weather, material supply, safety concerns or problems found on site can move that date, and we'll tell you as soon as we know.
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to clear stored items from the attic, crawl space or rooms we need to get through. On some jobs, spray foam in particular, you, your family and your pets will need to stay out until the re-entry time we give you, meaning the hours before it's safe to come back inside, and you agree to follow it.
If you need to cancel or move your job, call or message us as early as you can. Any deposit and cancellation terms for your job will be written in your contract, along with any cancellation right state law gives you.
Payment
Payment amounts, due dates and any deposit will be set out in your estimate or contract. Unless your contract says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is done.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's settled. You're responsible for reasonable costs we have to pay to collect an overdue balance, to the extent the law allows.
Warranties and what we don't promise
Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee, and any written warranty for your job will be in your contract. Insulation products also carry the maker's own warranty, and we install them following the maker's instructions so that warranty stays in place.
Apart from what's written in your contract and the maker's warranty, we don't promise any particular drop in your power bill, room temperature or energy rating, because results depend on your house, your equipment and how you use them. The website itself is provided as is, and we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, A&M Redding Insulation Services isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of a room, lost income or damage from conditions in your house that existed before we started and that we didn't cause. Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, including liability for our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Settling a disagreement
If you're unhappy with our work or a bill, tell us first, because most problems get fixed fastest with a phone call and a return visit. Call us at (530) 232-9176 or reach us through our contact page, and we'll work with you in good faith to sort it out.
If we can't settle it that way, either of us may take it to the state courts in Shasta County, California, unless your contract names a different process.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one in effect. Changes won't affect a job already under a signed contract unless we both agree in writing.
If you have a question about these terms, call us at (530) 232-9176 or use our contact page.
